Open Arms Early Learning Centre is associated with the Funny Daffer curriculum. Our educational philosophy is made up of Child-Directed Play with Teacher-Directed Lessons and Outdoor Enrichment experiences. The Funny Daffer Curriculum involves research-based and evidence-based learning practices based on the O2B Kids Curriculum (2014, 7th Edition). They have been approved by the Florida Office of Early Learning and meet the requirements of the School Readiness Program performance standards.
The curriculum is adaptable to ensure that we can meet individual needs and interests, engaging each child with the learning program.

Infants
Our infant program provides a nurturing environment for our youngest children, focusing on developmental milestones:
✔ Educational toys to promote cognitive development
✔ Storytime, drama sessions, and puppet shows
✔ Music, movement, and rhymes to aid motor development
✔ We focus on establishing self-esteem and trust-building
Toddlers
Our toddlers program provides support for your child’s progress and a fun and active learning environment. Our program consists of:

✔ Crafts and art projects, including finger painting activities

Preschool
Our preschool program focuses on early kindergarten readiness and social development. Our program is infused with independent discovery, cooperative learning, motor skills, and bible based activities.

✔ Sentence construction and word usage, encouraged by story telling

✔ Handwriting skills, including forming letters and numbers
